CHC Guidelines

The Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC) announced the following directive, effective immediately:

  • In consultation with the State Department of Public Health, the CHC, in conjunction with the Connecticut Rink Owner’s Association, requires that ALL INDIVIDUALS / PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING AT ALL TIMES when inside a facility hosting CHC or USAH sanctioned events in the state of CT. This applies to games, practices, scrimmages, and tournaments, both on and off the ice. Vaccination status has no bearing on this directive.
  • All CHC / USAH sanctioned events in the state of CT and in facilities hosting any CHC / USAH member programs must adhere to this masking policy.
  • The definition of participants is ALL players, coaches, officials, scorekeepers, and spectators / visitors.
  • On-ice penalties will be assessed to players and coaches for mask non-compliance.
  • Monetary penalties will be assessed to programs and rinks for non-compliance. First offense is $500 charged to the program in violation. Second offense is $1,000. Third offense is $1,000 and CHC tournament disqualification for all teams in the program.

There will be more information coming soon regarding COVID exposure and quarantine details, reporting expectations, specific rink protocols, and updated COVID waivers.
